Sad as Reggae stops for Queen Njambi Koikai

The Reggae Queen Njambi Koikai has died at a Nairobi Hospital.

The beloved reggae icon, known affectionately as Fyah Mummah, recently, found herself in dire need as she was admitted to Nairobi’s Pioneer Ward hospital and issued a heartfelt plea for blood donors.

“Hey fam, I’m currently hospitalized at Pioneer Ward, Nairobi Hospital, and I’m urgently in need of Blood Type O positive. I humbly appeal to potential blood donors for Mary Njambi Koikai,” she shared on her Instagram stories.

Her devoted online fanbase mourned her death, recognizing her as the cornerstone of their entertainment.

On May 19, 2024, amidst President Ruto’s state visit to the United States, she addressed a poignant message to him via her X account.

“This is a heartfelt plea directed primarily to President William Ruto, as he undertakes his diplomatic mission to the US. Mr. President, a significant focus of your visit lies in the realm of healthcare investment,” she wrote.

“Atlanta, Georgia stands as a beacon of hope for countless young women battling the debilitating affliction known as Endometriosis. Nestled within its boundaries, there exists a center wholly devoted to restoring the shattered lives of those affected by this insidious disease.”

She elucidated that Endometriosis entails tissue akin to the uterine lining proliferating on extraneous organs.

“In simple terms, ni wakati tunapopata hedhi, ama periods, we shed the lining of the uterus. Unfortunately, with Endometriosis that lining grows on other parts of the body,” Njambi wrote.
