Shock as family in Siaya finds kin missing and house completely torched

SIAYA: A family in Achieng village, located in Karapul sub-location, is still grappling with shock after discovering that their relative’s house had been set ablaze.

Alfred Olal, the family patriarch at 75 years old, recounted how they woke up at 6 a.m. to find the grass-thatched house completely burned, the work of unknown perpetrators.

Vincent Otieno, the owner of the house, is missing, adding to the distress of the family.

“The family woke up today around 6:00 a.m. to discover that their relative’s grass-thatched house had been burnt down by unknown individuals. Vincent Otieno, the occupant of the house, was not present, and his whereabouts remain unknown,” shared an incident report from the Siaya Police Station.

The scene has been investigated, and necessary actions have been taken by the authorities to address the situation.
