Kenneth Muguna, a highly regarded midfielder playing for Kenya Police FC, is attracting significant interest as the league season nears its conclusion.
His coach, Salim Babu, disclosed to Kondele News that negotiations are underway between the club and Muguna to secure him with a new contract.
Muguna’s current contract with Police FC is set to expire in August this year.
“He is a Kenya Police player and we really value him. He is part of our plans, and we are working on extending his contract with us for the next season. Talks are ongoing between the club and him,” Babu stated in an interview.
In their recent match at Police Sacco Stadium, Kenya Police FC drew with Bandari FC in a tense encounter.
Babu expressed disappointment with the result, especially given their preparations and expectations for a victory.
“We were hoping for a win, and we created plenty of chances. Unfortunately, we couldn’t convert them into goals,” Babu lamented.
As the season draws to a close, Babu’s team currently sits in third place, trailing six points behind Tusker FC, who are the runners-up to Gor Mahia.
