Senator Amason King escape from parliament in an ambulance

Kenyan Senate Speaker Amason Kingi was evacuated from the parliament building in an ambulance after protestors breached the premises.

Enraged youths had stormed the parliament following the passage of a controversial bill, prompting a swift response.

According to Citizen TV reporter Seth Olale, MPs and senators were forced to seek refuge in the basement to avoid the escalating situation.

The protestors, upon gaining entry, set fire to one side of the building and removed flags from the premises.

“Seth Olale reported live, ‘Speaker Amason Kingi has been evacuated in an ambulance after protestors breached parliament. Other members remain in the basement while outside, protestors continue to chant,'”
