In Webuye East, a bizarre and chilling discovery has thrust a self-proclaimed clergyman into a police investigation.
It all started innocently enough at a carwash nestled within Amazing petrol station in Bungoma’s in Masikhu market.
Levis Simiyu, a pastor from Ndivisi Ward, brought his Toyota Premio for a routine wash, but what unfolded was far from routine.
As the car’s exterior was being washed, the service attendant noticed something peculiar in the trunk: a carton containing human remains. Among them, a partially burnt human leg ominously protruded, sending shockwaves through the carwash.
The attendant’s immediate reaction was to alert the petrol station manager, whose stunned gaze confirmed the unsettling contents.
She (manager) immediately informed the police at Webuye station, who arrived in time before the car owner could drive off.
The suspect is in custody assisting with the investigation, and the recovered body parts have been taken to Webuye County Hospital morgue for preservation and further analysis.
