Locals lynch and chop off manhood of a suspect in Bondo

BONDO: Aber village in Got Abiero sub-location was thrown into turmoil yesterday evening when the locals took the law into their own hands, delivering a brutal form of justice to a suspected rapist.

The shocking incident, which occurred at 7 PM, has left the entire village in a state of disbelief and horror.

The deceased, identified as Ochieng Opondo, a 25-year-old man, had been evading the authorities for some time.

Opondo was wanted for the heinous crime of assaulting and raping a secondary school girl who was on her way to school.

Armed with a panga, he ambushed and violated the young student, leaving her with deep cuts on her arms in addition to the trauma of the assault.

According to the police, Opondo had been on the run since the despicable act. His freedom, however, came to a gruesome end when villagers discovered his hideout in the dense Got Abiero forest.

Fueled by anger and a thirst for justice, the mob descended upon him, overpowering him with a ferocity born of outrage.

The police incident report, as seen by Kondele News, detailed the brutal nature of the mob’s actions.

“While armed with a panga, he forcefully defiled a female high school student who was walking to school that morning,” the report stated. “Besides defiling the minor, the subject had inflicted cut injuries on the girl’s arms. The subject, who had been on the run after the defilement incident, was subjected to mob action today at about 1900hrs by angry villagers who busted him in his hideout at Got Abiero forest.”

By the time the police, alerted by the local assistant chief, arrived at the scene, they were met with a gruesome sight. The lifeless, naked body with deep cuts, and manhood chopped off.
