Gen-Zs call off demos in Nyandarua county citing infiltration by goons

Gen Z members from Nyandarua County have called off their planned demonstrations scheduled for today, July 16, citing concerns over infiltration by thugs.

In a letter addressed to the County Commissioner, the youths expressed apprehension that elected leaders were exploiting the situation by hiring thugs disguised as protesters.

“It has come to our attention that politicians and the police have mobilized certain individuals to disrupt our peaceful protests, which are protected by the constitution,” the letter addressed to the County Commissioner stated.

Meanwhile, youth groups from various parts of the country are still organizing demonstrations aimed at pressuring President Ruto to resign, accusing him of failing to effectively govern the nation.
