Double fortune as CS Opiyo Wandayi steps in to save a needy form three girl

UGUNJA: Fortune has smiled upon a Form Three student at Rang’ala Girls High School after Energy CS Opiyo Wandayi contributed Sh72,000 to clear her school fees.

The student, who had been at home in Ugunja-Siaya County for a month due to financial constraints, has heavens to thank for the support that changed her situation.

The heartwarming story began when Mayienga Radio reporter Brighton Omolo highlighted the plight of a mother of five struggling to raise enough funds to educate her bright daughter at the prestigious Rang’ala Girls.

The broadcast caught the attention of Mayienga FM radio host Festus Amimo, who immediately organized a mini-fundraiser to help the student return to school.

Thanks to the community’s swift response, Mr. Amimo successfully raised Sh100,000, which was promptly sent to the student’s mother.

Energy boss, Mr Wandayi, stepped in with an additional Sh72,000, bringing the total support to Sh172,000.

The combined efforts of the community and the contributions from CS Wandayi have left the family immensely grateful.

The student can now continue her education without the looming worry of unpaid school fees, marking a significant turning point in her academic journey.
