Police investigating death of their colleague after his lifeless body was found

EMBAKASI NAIROBI: Police are investigating the death of a colleague stationed at Embakasi Police Station, who was found dead in his home after failing to report to work for two days.

According to a report from Kondele News, officers were dispatched to locate Police Constable Geoffrey Kinzi after his prolonged absence raised concerns.

Their search led them to his residence near Trace Hotel in Embakasi.

Upon arrival, the officers discovered that the house was locked from the inside. Looking through the window, they spotted their colleague lying unresponsive on the bed.

Alarmed by the situation, the team forced entry into the house by cutting through the window grill.

A closer examination of the scene revealed that the deceased had no visible injuries. His body was subsequently transferred to Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home, where it awaits a postmortem examination.

Police have launched an investigation to determine whether the officer died by suicide or was murdered.
