Police arrest a man suspected to have killed his boss

Police have arrested a 21-year-old man, Victor Ambeyi, suspected of murdering his employer, Catherine Waceke Kimotho, on November 10 in Njathaini, Kasarani.

Ambeyi was found hiding in the Valley area of Kinoo, Kiambu County.

The incident was reported at Njathaini Police Station. Ms. Kimotho’s body was discovered at her homestead, while Ambeyi, a casual laborer at her home, was missing.

DCI officers from Nairobi regional headquarters acted on intelligence and located Ambeyi in Kinoo. He was being harbored by his cousin, Collins Seda Wanjau, 22. Both were arrested.

During interrogation, detectives expanded the investigation to Githurai 44. They recovered the deceased’s mobile phone at a phone repair shop owned by Benjamin Kimani Mwaura, 22. He was also taken into custody.

The three suspects have been booked at Kasarani Police Station. They are set for arraignment tomorrow as detectives investigate the motive behind the murder.
