Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Kilimani have arrested Meshack Kipleting Tarbei, a notorious fraudster and Director of Motorshop E.A Ltd, who had been on the run for over a year.

Tarbei is accused of defrauding unsuspecting members of the public of their hard-earned money.

Operating from an office located at Marsabit Plaza along Ngong Road, Tarbei allegedly closed shop and disappeared, leaving at least nine victims who reported his fraudulent activities at Kilimani Police Station.

Following the complaints, detectives launched a manhunt for the suspect.

Tarbei was finally apprehended at his hideout in King Serenity Estate, Rongai, and escorted to the DCI Kilimani offices for processing. He is currently awaiting arraignment.

Kilimani detectives suspect that additional victims may have filed complaints against Tarbei at other police stations across the capital.

Efforts are underway to consolidate all reports to ensure justice for all affected individuals.
