Authorities in Taita Sub-County, Taita Taveta County, are actively searching for eight suspects who orchestrated a daring prison break at the Wundanyi Police Station.
The escape, which resembled a scene from a movie, took place after meticulous planning, allowing the prisoners to break free from their remand cell and escape through the roof.
What remains puzzling is how the prisoners managed to cut through an iron-sheet roof without alerting any officers, allowing them to escape undetected.
According to an official police report filed at Wundanyi Police Station, the break occurred just minutes before midnight on Saturday.
