Notorious Criminal Sentenced to 35 Years for Armed Robbery and Murder

Peter Waithaka Macharia, a habitual offender, has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for his role in a violent robbery that resulted in the death of a Greek national.

The crime, which occurred on October 15, 2022, along Menelik Road, saw Macharia and two accomplices fatally shoot Angelos Tsekilas in the chest before fleeing on a motorcycle with stolen valuables.

He was later charged with robbery with violence under Section 296(2) of the Penal Code.

With overwhelming evidence presented before Chief Magistrate Kahuya at the Kibera Law Courts, Macharia was handed a 35-year sentence.
