KIRINYAGA: Sgt. Rose Nyawira, who tragically perished alongside CDF Gen. Francis Ogolla, has been laid to rest at their home in Kirinyaga County.

In addition to her military rank, Sgt. Nyawira was also a trained journalist who utilized her skills while serving in the military.

Despite threats of inclement weather, the burial ceremony was well-attended by friends, relatives, and colleagues.

A task force has been established to investigate the cause of the crash that claimed the lives of ten military officers.

Among those who lost their lives alongside Sgt. Nyawira are Maj. George Magondu, Capt. Hillary Litali, Brig. Swaleh Saidi, Col. Duncan Keittany, Lt. Col. David Sawe, Capt. Sora Mohamed, Sgt. John Kinyua, and Sgt. Cliffonce Omondi
