Andy Byron, Astronomer CEO, Tenders Resignation

Astronomer CEO Andy Byron has officially resigned following a widely publicized incident at a recent Coldplay concert that quickly escalated into a viral scandal.

The resignation stems from footage broadcast on the concert’s jumbotron, which captured Mr. Byron in an intimate embrace with the company’s Head of HR, Kristin Cabot.

As detailed by the New York Post, the board had the option of terminating Byron, which would have resulted in no severance.

Industry sources suggest that his resignation was a financially prudent decision under the circumstances.

The incident, involving Byron (50) and Cabot (52), occurred on Wednesday night near Boston when their attempts to evade the concert’s “kiss cam” while embracing drew significant public attention and went viral.

“As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met. Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted it,” the company stated.
