Armed bandits surrender guns to the police in Isiolo.

ISIOLO: Armed bandits in Isiolo surrendered firearms to the police, as confirmed by the National Police Service (NPS) on their official handle.

The Isiolo County Police Commander reported that the bandits handed over four firearms, including 1G3 and 3 AK-47 rifles, along with rounds of ammunition.

The NPS called on all remaining bandits with illegal firearms to also surrender them.

In a tweet, the NPS stated, “Through a multi-agency security engagement with NGAO, NPS further appeals to those holding illicit firearms to surrender them to the security agencies.”

Two weeks ago, Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen Francis Ogola lost his life during a mission to the North Rift, an area besieged by cattle rustlers and bandits.
