Former KTN newscaster, Michael Oyier, dead in a Nairobi Hospital.

Former KTN news presenter Michael Oyier has passed on while receiving treatment at a Nairobi Hospital.

The former eloquent newscaster was in the team that transformed the KTN TV channel before Social Media interrupted the mainstream media.

Last year, the news veteran admitted that he was battling depression.

The family confirmed his demise, though did not disclose what actually caused his death.

Colleagues, friends and former work mates have showered the deceased scribe as a humble man who did his job well.

His death come just months after another veteran newscaster Catherine Kasavuli passed on after battling cancer for a long time.
