Brave AP officers win battle against Al-Shabaab in Nothern Kenya.

Kenya Administration Police officers once again demonstrated the highest level of competence and bravery when they retaliated against an attack by terror suspects at the Yumbis Border Patrol Unit (PBU) in Fafi, Garissa. The officers, who came under attack late at night, responded skillfully and managed to neutralize the enemy.

During the attack, the officers faced gunfire from Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs), PK Machine Guns, and AK47 rifles. Despite the intense assault, they engaged the militants effectively. Tragically, one officer was fatally injured, while another sustained a gunshot wound to the right thigh but is in stable condition.

Regrettably, one AK47 rifle with 90 rounds of ammunition assigned to the deceased officer was lost in the exchange. However, the officers successfully defeated the enemy, demonstrating their resilience and commitment to protecting their community.
