Pictures of the ODM party leader, Raila Odinga, have elicited mixed reactions online. The former Prime Minister was tasked by President William Ruto to see off President Yoweri Museveni, who was in the country for a three-day visit.

Many who viewed the pictures believed that Mr. Museveni would play a major role in ensuring that the former Premier succeeds in his quest for the African Union Commission chair.

Among the other leaders present during the send-off were CS Transport Kipchumba Murkomen and former Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi. The meeting between President Ruto and President Museveni saw several agreements signed between the two countries.

Aside from the bilateral talks, it is believed that Mr. Odinga’s candidature for the AU Commission formed a major agenda.
