“You are just an elevated MCA, don’t threaten me,” Oscar Sudi.

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has issued a sharp rejoinder to UDA Party Secretary-General Cleophas Malala following a warning regarding their behavior. In a scathing retort, Mr. Sudi wrote, “An elevated MCA trying to be our Raphael Tuju,” posting it across all his social media platforms.

This response from Mr. Sudi followed a press release sent out by Mr. Malala concerning the conduct of certain UDA elected officials. In the press release distributed to various media outlets, Mr. Malala specifically cautioned elected leaders who have openly shown disrespect towards the UDA Party leadership.

“I am specifically addressing the recent public sentiments and actions of Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni wa Muchomba, Oscar Sudi (Kapseret), and Mutahi Kahiga (Nyeri Governor). Your recent conduct not only undermines the party’s unity but also demonstrates disrespect to the leadership you pledged to serve,” read a segment of the press release.

The warning also extended to Cabinet Secretaries who have been involved in political activities rather than focusing on their official mandates as members of the executive branch. Mr. Malala reminded them of the need for neutrality and nonpartisanship in their positions.

Among those flagged for their misconduct were Moses Kuria (Public Service) and Kipchumba Murkomen (Roads).

“Your primary responsibility is to serve the people and not to engage in politics. If you feel otherwise, I urge you to resign from your position and fully immerse yourself in politics,” stated the Secretary.

These developments unfold against the backdrop of discord within the ruling party, laying bare the rift within the UDA party.
