Crime; Police in Nakuru are looking for four armed men who killed a youth.

NAKURU WEST: Police in Nakuru West are actively seeking four armed men following a fatal attack that resulted in the death of a young man, with no apparent theft involved.

According to eyewitnesses who reported the incident to Kaptembwo Police Station, they were accompanying the victim, Dennis Omela, aged 21, on their way home when the assailants emerged from a nearby building and launched a sudden assault. The attackers wielded daggers, stabbing Omela repeatedly.

Zara Abisake and Daniel Otieno, witnesses to the tragic event, recounted how Omela sustained severe injuries during the attack. They promptly rushed him to the hospital, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical attention at PGH Nakuru.

“A group of about four unidentified young men, armed with daggers, ambushed Dennis Omela, aged 21, and his companions as they were walking home in the Posta area. Omela suffered multiple stab wounds to the abdomen before the assailants fled the scene. He was rushed to PGH Nakuru, where he later passed away while undergoing treatment,” stated a police incident report from Kaptembwo Police Station.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and Omela’s body is currently held at PGH Nakuru pending an autopsy, as law enforcement authorities intensify efforts to apprehend the suspects.
