Pain as a youth 20 years drown in River Yala, Bondo

Bondo: A family in Bondo sub-county is gathered along the banks of River Yala as they continue the search for their missing relative who tragically drowned in the flooded river.

The young man, identified as Dickson Ochieng Otieno, aged 20, encountered the unfortunate incident while swimming with friends in the river.

The search team comprises relatives, friends, and well-wishers who are tirelessly combing the area in hopes of finding Dickson.

According to a police incident report obtained by Kondele News, the distressing event was reported by Michael Otieno Ongaro, a 44-year-old resident of Kayongo village, Abom sub-location. Michael reported that his son, Dickson Ochieng Otieno, aged 20, drowned in River Yala while enjoying an outing with his friends on the evening of June 6, 2024, around 5:30 PM.
