Interior CS Prof. Kithure Kindiki has officially gazetted Monday, June 17th, as a public holiday to commemorate Eid ul-Adha in the Islamic calendar.
Eid ul-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, falls on the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah, the final month of the Islamic calendar. It coincides with the third day of Hajj and spans three days.
During this sacred month, all forms of warfare are prohibited in Islam, in reverence for the special occasion of the pilgrimage known as Hajj.

A heartiest Eid Ul Adha Mubarak to you! May the teachings of Allah and his prophet be your companion throughout your life. May this Eid ul Adha bring peace, prosperity, and happiness to you and your family!
