USENGE: Police in Bondo sub-county are currently seeking to locate the family of a fisherman whose body was discovered by fellow fishermen in Lake Victoria earlier today.
The Siaya County Police Commander, Cleti Kimaiyo, reported that the body of an unidentified adult male, approximately 30 years old, was recovered around 1:00 PM today.
According to a police incident report filed at Usenge Police Station, the body was retrieved by fishermen at Sanda Beach.
It is suspected that the individual drowned today in Lake Victoria waters.
The body has been transported to Bondo sub-county hospital where it awaits formal identification and a post-mortem examination.
