Siaya County mourning Evans Oruenjo, a lawyer and a politician

Siaya County is in mourning following the passing of Evans Oruenjo, a promising young lawyer who succumbed to liver cancer.

Evans, who contested the Alego Usonga parliamentary seat in 2017 and was practicing law in Nairobi, was highly regarded for his legal acumen and bright future.

Close friends and associates, deeply saddened by his untimely demise, paid glowing tributes to Evans.

His loss was also keenly felt by journalists in Siaya, who described him as open-minded and always willing to share his expertise.

Samuel Onyiego from Mayienga FM highlighted Evans’ approachability and rapport with journalists, while Philip Onyango from Kenya News Agency lamented the significant loss to the Siaya community and beyond.

Evans Oruenjo was the son of seasoned politician Oruenjo Umidha, the current chair of ODM in Alego Usonga sub-county. From Kondele News, we extend heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and community.
