Tragedy Strikes Media Industry again: Radio Presenters Lost in grisly road Accident

The media industry is in mourning once again following the tragic loss of two beloved members in a horrific road accident in Kirinyaga yesterday.

Stephen Waigwa, affectionately known as Stevoh Chifu, and Caroline Nyarwai, popularly known as Carol Kams Lucia, were vibrant voices at Radio Thome in Kerugoya, Kirinyaga County.

They met their untimely demise while returning from the station’s fourth anniversary celebration.

The official Radio Thome Facebook page announced the heartbreaking news: “Radio Thome FM mourns the loss of two cherished presenters, Stephen Waigwa alias Stevoh Chifu and Caroline Nyarwai alias Carol Kams De Luciah, who tragically perished in a fatal accident. This devastating incident occurred just hours after celebrating four years of broadcasting excellence.”

This tragedy compounds the grief in the media community, coming just five days after the passing of Mercy Mawia of Mbaitu FM. Mawia, a distinguished journalist, has been remembered for her significant impact on the industry.
