Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua walks along the Kisumu streets

KISUMU: Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua enjoyed a refreshing morning walk through the vibrant streets of Kisumu today, gearing up for President William Ruto’s second visit to the Nyanza region.

Dressed in a tracksuit, Gachagua strolled along Oginga Odinga Street towards Obote Road, embracing the city’s early morning hustle and the serene breeze from the nearby Lake Victoria.

Taking to his Facebook page, Gachagua shared his uplifting experience: “It has been refreshing taking a brisk walk in the streets of Kisumu City early this morning. Ahead of President William Ruto’s second day of the working visit in the region, it was mind-boosting to have a feel of the beauty and breeze from the nearby Lake Victoria.”

Gachagua also praised the warm reception from the locals who joined him on his walk: “It was also a joyous opportunity to interact with the good people of the Lakeside City who were already up and out attending to their hustles.”

The Deputy President’s stroll through Kisumu underscores the administration’s efforts to connect with the people and experience firsthand the everyday life and beauty of Kenya’s diverse regions.
