Mr Gakuya, who was in company of the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua said the Head of State has hired his hands men to disrespect his deputy.

“Tumejua umechoka na kura ya mulima kwa sababu umepata bibi mwingine,” loosely translated as, “We have seen you have a new political wife and you are tired of the votes from the mountain,” thundered the lawmaker.

He went on, “Kama President Ruto hakutosheka na Gachagua kama running mate, saa hii ndio anatubadilishia, hatuko katika hiyo barabara”, (If you were not contented with Mr Gachagua as running, you could have said rather than shifting now after getting power).

Mr Gakuya castigated the president for insisting that people should not play politics when he himself is politicking 24/7.

“When you tell us to stop premature politics yet you engage in the same them be assured we shall not follow the same route,” said the lawmaker.

He further faulted the Kenya Kwanza leader of cheering on as other lawmakers disrespect the deputy.

“When people like Kimani Ichungwa are openly disrespecting Mr Gachagua, you say nothing, it is like you are happy. You are working very hard to devide the mountain and we shall not allow you do that,” added Gakuya.
