Woman from hell; how a daycare woman exploited children sexually and recorded

A woman running a daycare center in Wangige market, Kiambu county has been arrested for allegedly exploiting the minors under her care sexually.

According to Court documents, Teresia Wambui Kiagi has been operating the day care center for three years now, and has been taking care of more than 10 children who are believed to be her victims.

While in court on Tuesday Oct 1, the court heard that Kihagi’s mobile phone was confiscated while she was trying to crush it in an attempt to destroy the evidence there.

“The respondent is alleged to have been engaging the minors aged between two and four years in sexual activities, touching their genitals and recording the act in the day care,” read a court document.

The investigating officer Nicodemus Musembi said that a probe will be conducted on Kihagi’s phone numbers to establish the recipients of the videos.

The equity pay bill the day care uses will also be combed in the investigations.

Musembi further told the court that recording statements from the affected parents has been unfeasible and can only aid the investigation through an intermediary.

He went ahead and asked that the suspect be detained for 21 days to allow further investigation as Wambui takes a mental assessment test.

The victims have been taken to different health facilities for medical examination.
