Devastated family demands justice after kin stabbed 27 times

KIAMBU: A family in Kiambu County is crying for justice following the brutal murder of their son, Conrad Nyabuto, who was allegedly stabbed to death by his estranged girlfriend in Ruiru.

The 27-year-old man was reportedly stabbed 27 times by the suspect, identified as Salome Wanjiru, in a tragic incident that has left the family devastated and demanding accountability.

Nyabuto’s family, residing in Saika Estate, Nairobi, expressed frustration over the slow progress of legal proceedings despite what they described as clear evidence linking Wanjiru to the gruesome murder.

According to Conrad’s father, the young man—the third-born in a family of five—had gone to Kamakis to resolve relationship issues with Wanjiru on the night of December 17, 2024.

The visit turned fatal, ending his life due to excessive bleeding from multiple stab wounds.

The murder was reported at Gatongora Police Station, and Wanjiru was identified as the prime suspect.

However, the family claims that efforts to ensure she faces the full force of the law have been insufficient, further compounding their grief.

Nyabuto’s family is now pinning their hopes on the justice system, as the suspect is scheduled to take a plea at the Thika High Court on Thursday.

They are urging authorities to expedite the case and deliver justice for their son.
