Pain as traders count losses in Millions at Shauri, Embu Town

The Shauri business community in Embu town is reeling after a devastating fire destroyed millions of shillings in property overnight.

The tragedy, which struck in the “wee hours,” has left more than 500 small-scale traders without a source of income.

Local businessman Thomas Nyaga spoke to Kondele News, describing the helplessness of watching his life’s work vanish in minutes.

This incident raises urgent questions about fire preparedness and response times in the town.

As the police begin their probe into the cause, the community is calling for support for the affected traders who have lost everything.
