Milimani Law Courts Issue Arrest Warrant for Juja MP George Koimburi in Staged Abduction Case

NAIROBI CITY: The Milimani Law Courts yesterday issued a warrant of arrest for George Koimburi, Member of Parliament for Juja, in connection with an alleged abduction on May 25, 2025.

The incident, which Koimburi claimed occurred after a church service at Full Gospel Ebenezer Church in Mugutha, has since been exposed as a staged event.

Investigations revealed that the “abduction” was orchestrated by Koimburi himself.

Video of the fabricated incident was deliberately circulated online by the planners, with unwitting individuals further spreading false claims of a state-orchestrated abduction.

It was further established that Koimburi staged the event to evade arrest in a separate land fraud case.

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) had already approved charges against him in that matter.

Following a review of the abduction case file, the ODPP approved charges against the individuals involved.

The case was formally registered today at the Milimani Law Courts.

Four of the seven accused – Peter Kiratu Mbari, Cyrus Kieru Muhia, David Macharia Gatana, and Grace Nduta Wairimu – appeared in court for plea taking.

They all pleaded not guilty and were released on a cash bail of Sh300,000, each required to provide three contact persons.

However, Koimburi and two other accused individuals, identified only as Peter and Njuguna (alias Njugush), failed to appear.
