Key Suspect Behind Embu Protests Arrested, Detained for Five Days

Detectives have arrested Joseph Mbira Thuku, a suspected key mobilizer behind the recent wave of violent protests that rocked Embu town.

Thuku was swiftly apprehended and arraigned at the Kahawa Law Courts, where police successfully secured a five-day custodial order to allow for further investigations into his role in the unrest.

The case is scheduled for mention on August 4, 2025, as authorities continue probing the circumstances surrounding the protests.
