Likoni Police Arrest Suspected Gang Member With Panga and Bhang

LIKONI: Police officers in Likoni Sub-County, Mombasa, have arrested a suspected gang member following an intelligence-led operation conducted on 16 August 2025.

According to authorities, the suspect was found armed with a panga (machete) and in possession of three rolls of cannabis sativa during the crackdown targeting local criminal gangs.

He was taken into custody and is currently awaiting processing and arraignment in court.

Police say the operation is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle gangs and curb rising cases of crime and drug-related activities in the area.
