Illegal Firearms Surrendered in Kerio Valley Peace Effort

In a significant step towards peace in Elgeyo Marakwet County, ten illegal firearms and a cache of ammunition were voluntarily surrendered to security agencies in the Kerio Valley today.

The voluntary handover is a major success for the ongoing disarmament campaign aimed at improving safety in the region.

The National Police Service praised the individuals who gave up their weapons, urging others with illegal arms to follow their example.

The surrendered weapons have been secured and will be processed for administrative action.
