Stolen Sheep Recovered in Laikipia as police arrest drug peddlers in Migori

A coordinated security operation resulted in the recovery of 35 stolen sheep in Laikipia North.

The recovery was made yesterday in the Chumvi area by a multi-agency team from Buuri West Sub-County, Meru County.

Led by the Sub-County Police Commander, the team launched the targeted operation after two separate livestock owners reported their animals missing.

A suspect was apprehended during the operation and is now in police custody awaiting arraignment.

In a separate incident, police officers from Oruba Police Station in Migori County successfully cracked down on illegal narcotics and illicit alcohol today, September 16, 2025.

The operation, which took place in the Osaka and Pand Pieri areas of Suna West, led to the arrest of two suspects.

They were found in possession of two liters of chang’aa, along with 89 rolls and 17 brooms of bhang. The suspects are currently in custody, pending legal action.
