Coca-Cola brings back Shika Mzito (500ml)  campaign to Nyanza and Western Kenya

Kisumu, Kenya, December 12, 2025; Coca-Cola’s Shika Mzito campaign is back in Nyanza and Western Kenya this festive season, with Christmas tour to celebrate acts of kindness and community connection with consumers of the iconic 500ml “Mzito” bottle.

The tour shines a spotlight on the warmth and generosity of people of Western Kenya, offering immersive experiences while sharing essential goods that resonate with local communities.

Dubbed Tour ya Wazito, the campaign  features electrifying performances, including celebrated Benga musician Tony Nyadundo, spreading festive cheer to Mzito consumers.

The tour will also offer thoughtful giveaways of traditional Christmas items such as mbuzi, chicken, wheat and maize flour, among other local treats.

Tour ya Wazito will travel across 10 counties in Nyanza and Western Kenya, with stops in Kisumu, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Homa Bay, Siaya, Kakamega, Bungoma, Busia, and Vihiga.

Inspired by Coca-Cola’s global theme, “The World Needs More Santas,” the campaign encourages residents to spread goodwill and connection through small, meaningful acts of kindness this festive season.

The people of Nyanza and Western Kenya are known for their strong community bonds,” said Weslene Orwoba, Senior Marketing Manager, Coca-Cola Kenya.

Coca-Cola’s iconic 500ml Mzito has always been part of these connections. The festive season is the perfect time for families and friends to come together, enjoy Mzito, and create happy memories.

The Shika Mzito campaign was first launched in April this year to celebrate and reward the region’s unsung heroes; farmers, fishermen, football fans, boda boda riders, teachers, artisans, among others who uplift their communities in meaningful ways.

Coca-Cola has long been part of the region’s vibrant community life, from football celebrations with legendary teams like Gor Mahia, AFC Leopards, Kakamega Homeboyz, and Shabana FC, to festive gatherings that strengthen local bonds.

Kenyan consumers are invited to share their Santa moments; whether it’s a small gesture, shared laughter, or simple act of care. Through these moments, Coca-Cola encourages everyone to spread joy and kindness this holiday season.
