Erick Omondi arrested by eight “civilian dressed men”

Celebrated comedian Eric Omondi has been arrested.

In a cryptic post shared on his official Facebook page, Omondi revealed that he was picked up by unidentified individuals and was unaware of where he was being taken. However, he did not disclose the exact location of the arrest.

“Just been arrested by a group of 8 Non Uniformed Men. I have no idea where we are headed!!!” read the post on his official Facebook page.

This is not the first time Omondi has found himself in legal trouble; in 2024, he was among the high-profile individuals arrested during the Gen Z demonstrations.

His post quickly went viral, attracting thousands of comments within minutes. Online reactions were mixed, with some Kenyans expressing concern, while others lightheartedly joked that he was simply being flown to the Emirates to see the real English Premier League (EPL) trophy.
