A family in Kitengela, Kajiado County, has been soaked into grief following the tragic death of a three-year-old boy who fell from the third floor of an apartment building on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
The incident occurred at Sky Con Plaza, located in the Kyangombe area of Isinya Sub-County.
According to superficial police reports, the toddler was playing on the rooftop of the third floor near his family’s residence shortly before the fall.
Investigators noted that while the rooftop is enclosed by a perimeter guard wall measuring approximately 3.2 feet high, the child somehow lost balance or climbed over, plunging to the ground below.
The boy was rushed to the Kitengela Sub-County Hospital by panicked residents and family members.
However, medical personnel pronounced him dead on arrival.
Police officers who examined the scene and the body reported that the child suffered severe head and forehead trauma, with injuries consistent with a high-fall impact.
The child’s body is currently preserved at the Kitengela Sub-County Hospital mortuary pending a formal post-mortem examination as police complete their investigation into the incident.
