Major crackdown on mobile theft: two key suspects nabbed at Burma market

Nairobi police officers from Shauri Moyo Police Station arrested two key suspects in the Burma Market area on Tuesday, August 18.

The apprehended individuals are believed to be major receivers of stolen electronic mobile devices within the vicinity. Following the arrest, a thorough search by the officers led to the recovery of four suspected stolen devices; Samsung Galaxy A07, Samsung Galaxy A05, Redmi (RMX3834 / Realme Note 50 model) and Tecno Pop 9

Both suspects remain in police custody as processing continues ahead of their court arraignment, where they will face charges related to the possession and handling of stolen property.

Local authorities have urged members of the public who may have recently lost devices in the area to report to the station with proof of ownership.
