KISUMU: Three people died after being subjected to mob justice near Ombeyi Centre, Kisumu County, on Friday, September 25, 2026.

According to a police report, a crowd escorting the body of Hussein Ramadhan, alias Bolt, from KCRTH Morgue to his Kasese home allegedly turned on members of the public at Chiga Centre, robbing them before police intervened.

Another group continued toward Ombeyi Centre, where they reportedly robbed several residents of their mobile phones.

Angry locals gave chase, and five suspects were caught and beaten.

Police from Miwani rushed the victims to JOOTRH, where three men were confirmed dead on arrival.

Their bodies remain unidentified, pending autopsy.
