Devil on the road; shock as a driver spots a woman and two children crossing the road in Ukwala, Ugenya

UGENYA: Passengers aboard a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) traveling the Busia-Kisumu route were left stunned when the driver claimed to have spotted a woman with two children on the road.

According to the driver, he encountered the unexpected sight of a woman and her two children walking along the middle of the road and attempted to maneuver to avoid them without success.

Any time he tried avoiding them they seemed to shift to where the vehicle turned.

The incident happened in Ukwala in Ugenya, few meters from Nzoia bridge.

Eyewitnesses to the incident expressed bewilderment as the highway was reportedly clear of pedestrians at the time.

One witness remarked, “The driver seemed perplexed because he observed a woman crossing the road with two children. His efforts to avoid them caused the vehicle to veer off the road.”

As a result of the driver’s abrupt maneuver, the PSV ended up stuck inside a nearby farm with all passengers remaining unharmed. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries reported from the incident.
