The famous show hosted by Daniel Ndambuki, known as Churchill Live, is set to return to NTV after a hiatus.
The exact airing date has not been announced yet, but a post on NTV’s official LinkedIn handle indicates that fans of stand-up comedy should prepare for an even more exciting show.
“The wait is over, Kenya! The legendary #ChurchillShow🔥 is making its grand return to NTV Kenya after years of requests from YOU, the fans! We heard you loud and clear, and we’re bringing back the side-splitting comedy and hilarious sketches you love,” read the post.
Churchill Show and Churchill Raw, which aired on Thursdays and Sundays respectively, captivated many Kenyans who tuned in to watch stand-up comedians perform.
Before introduction of Sunday shows, Churchill Show rivaled the famous “Papa Shirandula which was aired on Citizen TV” starred by the late Charles Bukeko.
Beyond entertainment, the show served as a launching pad for numerous upcoming comedians who built their careers on the platform provided by Mr. Ndambuki.
However, this news hasn’t been received well by fans of the late Fred Omondi, who also gained fame through the show.
His brother Eric Omondi also rose to prominence from Churchill Show, alongside others like Murume, Smart Joker, Onjiri, the late Ayeiya, and Wakimani.
