Nitafuata nyayo ya Baba…late Ong’ondo Were’s son announces his bid

The son of the late Kasipul Member of Parliament, Boyd Were, has announced his intention to contest for his father’s former seat in Kasipul Constituency.

In a post on his Facebook page, the young man declared his bid to step into the role his father had held since 2017.

“I humbly step forward to continue the development journey my father began. His vision for a better Kasipul remains alive in me, and I am committed to seeing every project he initiated completed. With your full support, we will walk this journey together, steadfast and united, until the dream is fully realized,” read his post of Facebook today.

The post  further read, “The Milele na Milele narrative will not end. The students my father sponsored will continue their education without interruption. To the widows he supported, I stand as your elder son, ready to continue that care. And to the youth who found mentorship and opportunity in him, I am your fellow youth, and I will carry forward that same spirit of empowerment.”

Like a fruit that never falls far from the mother tree, young Were has promised to take complete his father’s  legacy.

“Let us move forward as one people, one purpose, and one future. The legacy lives on, and together we will build a stronger, more inclusive Kasipul for generations to come,” the post concluded.
