Celebrated city lawyer Silas Jakakimba has separated with his wife Florence Adhiambo after a few years of marriage.

Jakakimba who took to his Facebook account to announce the divorce narrated that the decision was made mutually.

“After careful consideration and much reflection, we – Silas Jakakimba and Florence Adhiambo, have made the difficult but in certain and often times – extremely considerate decision to separate,” said Jakakimba on his timeline.

The post which attracted mixed reactions further indicated, “This decision was reached mutually and, with respect for one another, noting with deep appreciation and gratitude, the immense love and support from both sides of our Innermost Families and Spiritual Leaders as we sought to make this decision public.”

The couple further indicated that this decision was not meant to invite the public into their private space but rather make it known.

“We ask that our privacy be respected as we navigate this personal matter.  We will not be making any further public statements whatsoever regarding this matter at this or, at any other time – and we do appreciate your understanding,” the statement concluded.
