Police Rescue Pakistani National from Angry Mob in Nakuru

A team of law enforcement officers from Nakuru North Sub-County has rescued a Pakistani national, Ahmad Shabbir, from an angry mob.

The crowd had gathered in Nakuru, demanding justice after Shabbir allegedly swindled them out of their hard-earned money.

Police were alerted to the scene after reports of a man surrounded by a large mob baying for his blood.

Quick intervention by the officers saved Shabbir from a mob attack, although his two accomplices managed to flee the scene.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that Shabbir and his partners are linked to several similar fraud cases in the area.

It was also established that Shabbir was out on bond from Ahero Police Station, where he had previously been charged with obtaining money by false pretenses.

He was due to report back to the station on August 20, 2025, but continued his fraudulent activities instead.

The suspect is currently in custody, undergoing processing as detectives intensify the search for his two accomplices, who remain at large.
