Three arrested in Kwale with narcotics as Kisii suspects escape narrowly

KWALE: Acting on credible intelligence, officers from Kwale Police Station intercepted a motorcycle in an ambush today in the Denyenye area of Kwale County that was suspected of transporting illegal items.

The operation resulted in the arrest of three suspects who were found to be in possession of 210 rolls of a substance believed to be cannabis sativa. They are in custody pending arraignment.

Meanwhile officers from Kerina Police Station, led by the Officer in Charge of the Station (OCS), conducted a successful operation against narcotics in the Mwata area of Kisii South Sub-County.

During the operation, the officers recovered 243 rolls of bhang, which were found in a maize plantation.

They also recovered a red TVS motorcycle suspected of having been used for drug trafficking.

The exhibits were seized and are being held securely at the station.

The suspect, however, managed to escape from the scene and is currently being pursued.
