UGENYA: ICT CS Elliud Owalo, through the Eliud Owalo Foundation, spearheaded a free Medical Camp in Sega, Ugenya sub-county, as part of the comprehensive development strategy initiated by the Kenya Kwanza government to enhance healthcare, food security, and education.

During the launch of the camp, the ICT boss highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting farmers by providing certified seeds to bolster agriculture.

“We are currently in the planting season, and amidst health challenges, access to medication is crucial. It’s impossible to tend to farms when one is unwell,” stated the CS.

The medical camp, facilitated by the Eliud Owalo Foundation and assisted by dedicated partners and allies, catered to the medical needs of approximately 6,000 individuals from the local community.

Over 50 doctors and different health specialists were deployed to Sega.

Among the dignitaries present were Dr. Patrick Amoth, Director-General for Health; Dr. Hezron Omollo, Technical Advisor in the Ministry of Health; Kelly Oluoch, Director of KMTC; Dr. Steve Kathaka from the National Syndemic Diseases Control Council; Dr. Gabriel Ouma, along with other esteemed medical professionals.

Also in attendance were CAS Eng. Nicholas Gumbo; Charles Owino, Chairman of KIMC; Lawyer Steve Ogola; Waore Dianga, Chairman of Lake Basin Development Authority; Millicent Oduor, Director of LVSWWDA; Collins Olemo; and Bishop Eng. Calleb Olali, among others.
