A massive early-morning fire has engulfed sections of Nairobi’s Gikomba Market, triggering a major multi-agency emergency response to the popular trading hub.

According to the Kenya Red Cross, the blaze broke out at around 4am on Sunday, destroying multiple business premises and sending thick smoke across the area as firefighters fight to contain it.
