A horrific multi-vehicle collision along the busy Nakuru-Eldoret Highway has claimed the lives of at least six people, including three students, following a late-night crash at the Lessos Junction.
The tragic accident involved a heavy trailer, a private van, and a 14-seater matatu.
According to preliminary findings, the victims, three of whom were identified as students, died at the scene inside the wreckage.
Emergency rescue teams and law enforcement officers arrived at the crash site shortly after to secure the area, direct traffic, and extract the victims.
The bodies of the deceased were moved to the local morgue, where they await post-mortem examinations and formal identification by their families.
Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the multi-vehicle crash at the known blackspot.
